Here is a simple list to describe myself for anyone who might be interested.

1) Christian

I love Jesus Christ and gladly claim Him as my only Master and Lord. He is brilliant, eternal, the Way, the Truth, and the Life. Everything I write on this site is ultimately an attempt to bring Him glory.

2) Husband

My wife Page is my best friend, and partner in life, child-rearing, and Gospel promotion. She blogs about the family at Dollar General.

3) Father

I love my four kids and I want the world to be a better place for them.

4) Pastor

I am honored to be the pastor of Rock Mountain Lakes Baptist Church in Birmingham. I love the Church and believe God is building a divine organization that the gates of Hell itself cannot prevail against. And so my work here is a meager attempt to edify the Bride of Christ.

5) Apologist

Part of God’s calling on my life has been to offer a reasoned defense of the Christian faith in a variety of settings. I have co-written a book along with my friend and former student Bradley Pinkerton titled Contend. It is an attempt to present basic Christian Apologetics on a high school level.

6) Musician

I enjoy making music. I also enjoy using it to worship God and leading others to do the same.

7) Atlanta Braves Fan

My grandmother (Maw Maw Dollar) brought me into the TBS loop of Braves baseball. As a child, I came to enjoy the game immensely and have made it a fun hobby following the Braves.
