Here is a simple list to describe myself. I hope this list is helpful in giving you a context for my work on this site.
1) Christian – I love Jesus Christ and gladly claim Him as my only Master and Lord. He is brilliant, eternal, the Way, the Truth, and the Life. Everything I write on this site is ultimately an attempt to bring Him glory.
2) Husband – My wife Page is my best friend and my devotion and love for her drives everything I do.
3) Father – I love my kids and I want the world to be a better place for them.
4) Pastor – I am honored to be the pastor of Rock Mountain Lakes Baptist Church in Birmingham. I love the Church, and believe God is building a divine organization that the gates of Hell itself cannot prevail against. And so my work here is a meager attempt to edify the Bride of Christ.
5) Apologist – Part of God’s calling on my life has been to offer a reasoned defense of the Christian faith in a variety of settings. My book, cowritten with Bradley Pinkerton, titled Contend, is an attempt to present basic apologetics on a high school level.
